Folk Vest

One of the things I love most about this material world is the ability of exceptional women to knit garments with animal and human figures. It's amazing how they can translate what we see into physical form; it's truly wow! There are fewer and fewer people who have the patience and dedication to make a vest that takes more than 15 days to complete.

We want to introduce you to the folk vest, a vest that I really, really like because it has so much history, so much trace woven into the warps of the vest's loom.

This is wonderful, it moves me deeply and gives me goosebumps to see all this beauty.

This is real thanks to Doña Laura who, with her gift for weaving, manages to materialize everything we wanted in our heads.

Each vest is a work of art, lasting through time; let's appreciate the craftsmanship, there is nothing like it anywhere else in the world.

PLEASE NOTE: No two vests are exactly alike, so there may be slight variations in color tone and pattern size, but only subtle ones. (In this particular vest, the tone will be a touch darker and the little person's hair longer, because I want it to be a girl.)
