It all started when Carolita said, "How beautiful these cloths are, I want to use them as garments not as accessories." And that's where the idea of making a vest came out, like the indigenous top but in a winter version and the entire garment on a loom. It was hard because it's not easy to make a garment on a loom and make it look good and stylish.
And the truth is, we couldn't be happier with the result.
As you can see, the top is handmade on a MARIA LOOM, with pure wool in natural colors.
It can be worn closed or open, depending on personal preference. It's a vest with two uses.
Itchy? It's slightly itchy, not meant to be worn directly against the skin, it's not an undergarment. It's best to wear it over another piece of clothing.
Heavy? No, it's not heavy at all, it weighs less than a pure wool sweater.
Warm? Extremely warm and ideal for wearing over dresses, blouses, or lightweight sweaters.
It goes with everything, jeans, trousers, dresses.
